Snoqualmie Seeks Artists for Street Pole Banner Project

The City of Snoqualmie and the Snoqualmie Arts Commission (SAC) are calling on artists, particularly those residing or working in the Snoqualmie Valley, to submit digital artwork for new street pole banners.

These banners will be displayed in downtown Snoqualmie and the Snoqualmie Ridge retail areas.

This year’s themes for the banners are:

  1. Artistic interpretations of recreational opportunities in Snoqualmie
  2. Wildlife in Snoqualmie
  3. Historical points of interest in Snoqualmie

Project Timeline:

  • Call for Artist Announcement: May 20, 2024
  • Application Deadline: June 20, 2024
  • Artist(s) Selection: mid-July 2024
  • Artwork/Pole Banner Installation: August/September 2024

About SAC’s Dedication to Public Art:

The Snoqualmie Arts Commission enriches the cultural lives of residents and visitors by placing art in public spaces and facilitating access to the arts. 

Artwork Submission Details:

  • Email submissions are preferred. Include your name, mailing address, contact phone number, and email.
  • Up to four artwork submissions (under 2MB each) are allowed. Each seasonal pole banner installation includes four different banners. Artists can submit a group of four designs or individual designs.
  • Email submissions to Nicole Wiebe, Community and Arts Commission Liaison, at nwiebe@snoqualmiewa.gov or mail to PO Box 987, Snoqualmie, WA 98065.
  • A responsibility waiver is required before artwork is printed.
  • Applications will be reviewed by the Snoqualmie Arts Commission and City of Snoqualmie staff.
