Like wine? Love everything Italian? Since traveling to Italy last year, I do… especially Prosecco.
You can get an Italian wine fix by stopping at the Snoqualmie Ridge IGA tomorrow, December 6th, for a wine tasting courtesy of Ruffino wines. The event runs from 3:30-6:30pm and gives you a chance to sample four Italian wine varieties.
IGA wine tastings take place in the front of the store near the bakery/deli and the Sno Falls Credit Union.
Here’s what’s being poured with their clever wine descriptives:
RUFFINO PROSECCO, DOC has clean notes of citrus, pears, and apples, accompanied by slight hints of hawthorn, wisteria, and elder. Fine bubbles caress the palate while intense flavors of apples and peaches leave a pleasant finish.
RUFFINO IL DUCALE, TOSCANA is well balanced, the initial predominance of fruity notes develops to compliment the round tannins. The aftertaste is long and satisfying with notes of ripe fruits together with aromas of pepper, vanilla and balsamic herbs. 60% Sangiovese, 20% Merlot & 20% Syrah
RUFFINO LODOLA NUOVA VINO NOBILE DI MONTEPULCIANO, DOCG is made from a hand-harvested selection of the best grapes from Ruffino’s hillside estate vineyards in Montepulciano. Acidic and smooth, velvety tannins create a well-balanced structure highlighting the wine’s fruity core. 90%Sangiovese, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot
MOSCATO D’ASTI is a sweet wine, characterized by its fragrant and aromatic bouquet and low alcohol content, which makes it incredibly popular and pleasant to drink. The wine is perfectly tempered by the freshness of its refined bubbles, accompanied by hints of elderberry and wisteria.
