At approximately 1130 am near Snoqualmie Pass (MP62), a pickup truck attempted to run several Washington State Patrol Motorcycle Troopers off the road.
These Troopers were returning from the funeral for Yakima police Sgt. Joe Deccio who recently died in the line of duty.
Snoqualmie Police and the State Patrol attempted to stop the vehicle, but it continued to drive at speed without stopping for multiple marked police vehicles.
Spike strips were successfully deployed by the Snoqualmie PD, and the truck finally stopped just West of the on-ramp from Highway 18.
The suspect was taken into custody for suspected impairment after refusing lawful commands, rummaging through the bed of the truck, and attempting to change the flat tire.
