The Snoqualmie River made it to a phase 3 flood this afternoon and then began receding. As far as floods go in Snoqualmie Valley, this one was fairly tame. Only a few city roads were closed. Those roads include include Meadowbrook Bridge 
between Park Ave SE and SE Reinig Rd, SE Mill Pond Rd between SE Reinig Rd and SE Mill Pond Rd, SE Reinig Rd between 396th Dr SE and SE Mill Pond Rd and SE Northern St at the 38300 block.
The City of Snoqualmie Emergency Operations Center also opened for awhile. It is now closed. Any flooding questions can now be answered by the Snoqualmie Fire Dept. at 425-888-1551. One surprised camper awoke to his tent floating away in the wee hours of the morning today. His campground was flooded by the swollen river. He called 911 and was rescued. You can read details here.
An amazing feat of nature, Snoqualmie Falls, takes center stage during local river flooding; its power intensified by the fast, rising river flow. Today was no exception. So enjoy the power and beauty that is Snoqualmie Falls. It’s a silver lining during Mother Nature’s crazy winter weather.
