Snoqualmie City Council Holds Special Hybrid Meeting on Sewer Service for the Tribe and Mayor Ross’ Capital Improvement Plan Tuesday Night

On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at 6 PM, the City of Snoqualmie will hold a special hybrid city council meeting to discuss approving the fifth amendment to the agreement between the City of Snoqualmie and the Snoqualmie Tribe for the provision of and Sewer Utility Service to the Tribe’s Initial Reservation.

The agenda bill provides for approval of the Fifth Amendment to the Agreement Between the City of Snoqualmie and the Snoqualmie Tribe for the Provision of and Sewer Utility Service to the Tribe’s Initial Reservation (“Fifth Amendment”).

The Fifth Amendment would authorize increases in the quantity of wastewater flow and load services provided by the city to the Snoqualmie Tribe, for a hotel and expansion of the Snoqualmie Casino.

This amendment provides for payment to the city of more than $6 million in General Facilities Charges and contributions in aid of construction, as well as payment of additional monthly wastewater rates.

This also provides for coordination between the construction of city capital sewer utility projects and expansion at the Snoqualmie Casino, adjusts the term of the Agreement, and provides for remedies.

There will be a public comment period during this special hybrid meeting

The meeting will also include a presentation of Mayor Ross’s proposed Capital Improvement Plan and Council Deliberations.
