This year’s Christmas Stocking project is underway, with Sno Valley Pet Services inviting the community to help bring holiday cheer to pets in need.
For the past decade, Dorie Ross has faithfully run the local pet food bank, and this event remains one of her favorite traditions. “I have dogs, and I know the joy of watching them light up over a treat or a new toy. What better time than the holidays to share that happiness with our pet food bank clients?” she says.
Last year, Ross teamed up with Susan Burk, well known for her work in animal rescue, to officially form Sno Valley Pet Services as a nonprofit. Since then, the organization has rescued and rehomed numerous dogs and cats and currently has five dogs awaiting adoption.

Wish lists for the Christmas Stocking project, along with items needed for rescues, foster animals, and the pet food bank, are available on the Sno Valley Pet Services website at snovalleypetservices.org/support, where supporters can also find ways to shop locally while helping pets in need.
