Smash New Year’s Eve at GAME OVER 2022

Send the year 2022 out with a bang! You know you’re good. Now prove it. Match your skills against other players in a friendly competition of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

GAME OVER 2022 will give competitors the rare opportunity to take over the 40’ screen in an all-comers tournament hosted by the North Bend Theatre on Saturday, 12/31, from 12-6. Tickets are limited to ensure a great tournament experience for everyone.

“We are so excited to welcome our gaming community back to the theatre. Playing against other gamers on the big screen is super fun”, states Beth Burrows, owner of the North Bend Theatre. “Our prize pool is generating a lot of interest, too,” Burrows continues.

FIRST PRIZE for the tournament winner will include $250 in cash, their name up in lights on the big marquee, and a free theatre rental to invite ten friends for another game session or watch the movie of your choice. SECOND PRIZE is $100 cash, five free movie tickets, and their name on a side marquee. THE THIRD PRIZE includes $50 cash, two free movie tickets, and their name on a side marquee. Hourly door prizes will be given away as well for Free Play milestones.

A limited number of tickets for the tournament are on sale at http://NorthBendTheatre.com. Every ticket includes entry to the tournament competition, Free Play stations, and a custom event lanyard. Different ticket levels may include a limited-edition GAME OVER 2022 t-shirt, endless popcorn and soda, and Frankie’s Pizza. Themed pins, buttons, snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. Early Bird pricing is in effect until December 30th.

For players over 21, the Cameo Bar has a full selection of Snoqualmie Falls Brewery beer on tap, Dru Bru hard cider, wine and mimosas available.

On Saturday, December 31st, doors will open at noon. Tournament play will begin at 1:00 pm. With a signed parental release form, kids under 13 can attend independently. This is a “Bring Your Own Controller (BYOC)” event. There will be a limited number of controllers available upon request if you do not have your own. Other permitted controllers include GameCube and Switch Pro controllers. Players will compete in a 1 vs. 1 (Singles) best-of-three format in a double-elimination bracket.
