North Bend residents and businesses are invited to dazzle the community as the beloved annual Light Up North Bend contest returns this holiday season.
Each year, homes, businesses, and nonprofits transform into festive displays for all to enjoy, bringing neighbors together in the spirit of friendly competition.
After judging concludes, participants’ creations will be showcased on the Light Up North Bend Holiday Tour Map, inviting everyone to explore the sparkling magic throughout the area.
If you plan to brighten up your property, business, or storefront this winter, consider joining the fun and entering the annual Light Up North Bend – A Community Contest.
Contest Details:
Participants can compete in one of four divisions:
- Single-Family Home
- Multi-family home (apartment, condo, townhome)
- Business
- Neighborhood
Each of the first three divisions features three festive categories:
- VMA: Best Use of Music
- Hollywood: Best Theme
- Griswold: Best Overuse of Lights (channel your inner Clark Griswold!)
For the Neighborhood Division, the winner will be chosen based on the largest number of participating homes decked out for the season.
How to Participate:
The registration deadline is Thursday, December 5. Participants must have their displays ready by 5 p.m. on December 9. Judging will occur between December 9 and 15, with winners chosen by North Bend city commissioners and local leaders.
To register, complete the fillable Light Up North Bend registration form (PDF) and email it to bkeveren@northbendwa.gov or deliver it to the City Hall Front Counter during the business hours listed on the form.
Prizes:
Winners in the Single-Family, Multi-Family, and Business divisions will each receive a $50 gift card to a North Bend business of their choosing. The Neighborhood Division winner will earn ultimate bragging rights for their community spirit!
Light Up North Bend Holiday Tour Map:
After judging concludes, the Light Up North Bend Tour Map will be shared for community distribution starting December 16. This map highlights all participating displays and can be found:
- In the News Section at www.northbendwa.gov
- On the City’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, NextDoor, and X
