A serious injury, multiple car collision had all eastbound lanes of I-90 closed near Easton, about six miles west of Cle Elum, around 1:30PM, Sunday, July 10, 2016.
According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP) Twitter feed, the collision involved three vehicles and resulted in serious injuries and one confirmed fatality. Fire, aid, DOT and WSP all responded to the scene.
The bad accident quickly produced a long backup and forced an initial eastbound I-90 closure at exit 34 near North Bend.
Around 3PM, WSP reopened one lane and pushed the eastbound closure point up to exit 47 at Denny Creek, but said the backup was estimated to be 12 miles.
WSDOT warned drivers to expect up to a one hour delay and couldn’t offer an ETA for the reopening of all eastbound lanes.
