Drivers should expect significant delays on westbound Interstate 90 near North Bend after a serious collision involving two semi-trucks around 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 3.
According to Eastside Fire & Rescue, two patients with life-threatening injuries were extricated and transported from the scene. The crash occurred near Exit 32 (436th Avenue SE) and involved an overturned semi.
The Washington State Department of Transportation reports that the two right general purpose lanes of westbound I-90 are blocked, along with the ramp from 436th Avenue SE to westbound I-90. Medical aid, fire crews, the Incident Response Team, and Washington State Patrol troopers are all on scene.
Trooper Rick Johnson said an extended closure is expected while crews respond and clear the wreckage.
Officials are urging drivers to avoid the area, if possible, use caution, and plan for extended delays.
