Second Update: Community Meeting Announced in Response to Fall City Tragedy

The King County Sheriff’s Department has announced a community meeting to address the tragic events on Monday morning near Lake Alice. The meeting will be held on Saturday, October 26th, at 10 a.m. at the Snoqualmie Valley Alliance Church (36017 SE Fish Hatchery Road).

In a message shared by Pastor Baly Botten, the Sheriff’s Department acknowledged the emotional toll the incident has taken on residents. The meeting aims to provide details about the investigation, offer resources for those struggling with the aftermath, and help the community begin to heal.

Case Update Expected Today
The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is working with the Sheriff’s Department to meet the 4:30 p.m. deadline today, October 24, for a rush-file charging decision. Prosecutors are expected to issue a public update by 5:30 p.m.

Sheriff’s Office investigators continue to collaborate with prosecutors, using every available moment to ensure the thorough handling of this case.

The community meeting on Saturday will offer residents an opportunity to ask questions, hear directly from law enforcement, and access support resources.
