Seattle Comedy Competition returns to the Valley!

Comics from the US, Canada, and some guy from Washington D.C. will compete for cash prizes and the honor of becoming the “2023 Champion” of the Seattle International Comedy Competition or SICC, for short.

Once again hosted by the North Bend Theatre, this Saturday’s competition is the first round of the contest, and all fifteen comics will be slugging it out to advance to the next round. Round two takes place next Saturday, November 11th at 8 pm.

Beth Burrows, the owner of the Theatre, is thrilled to bring the event back to the Snoqualmie Valley. “These comedy competitions are so much fun. The comics win by making you laugh. And they are merciless about winning. Prepare for two hours of nonstop laughter. These comics are fresh, fully charged, and they come out swinging with their best material.”

The comics include a “Wal-Mart version of the 50 Shades of Gray guy”, a connoisseur of light-hearted dark comedy, a professional magician who once performed for the New York Yankees and that woman who won’t stop making small talk with you at the coffee shop.

The Seattle International Comedy Competition is America’s biggest touring comedy festival.  Spanning the entire month of November, the comedians perform their way across Puget Sound, vying for $16,000 in cash prizes.

The winner will be crowned on the final night of the competition, November 26, at Laugh’s Comedy Club in Seattle and will feature the top five comedians vying for the top spot.

Saturday’s event begins at 8 pm. Tickets are going fast! Check availability online at http://northbendtheatre.com
