Photographer Scott Rinckenberger will debut his newest exhibition, Bioregion: Snoqualmie: Portraits of Interdependence, at Scott Rinckenberger Gallery in North Bend. The large-format photography exhibit explores the connections between the region’s landscapes, wildlife, waterways, history, and communities, encouraging visitors to consider the Snoqualmie region as an interconnected living system rather than simply a scenic backdrop.
The Snoqualmie bioregion is defined not by political boundaries but by layered relationships: the geology and hydrology that shape the land, the old-growth forests and fungal networks threading through root systems, the snowfields feeding rivers that sustain salmon, cedar, and communities downstream. From mountain goats traversing improbable ledges to eagles patrolling the rivers, from the living mythology of the Snoqualmie Tribe to the miners, loggers, skiers, and climbers who have each written their own chapter here — everything is connected. Bioregion: Snoqualmie is an attempt to make that connectivity visible.
