That was not an earthquake in North Bend last Saturday night. It was the seismic level of laughter from Round 1 of the Seattle International Comedy Competition (SICC). Keep those preparedness kits ready for another rumbler this Saturday when sixteen more comedians compete for the comedy crown at your hometown North Bend Theatre.
Saturday night is Round 2 and features comics from the US and Canada and some guy from Boston competing for cash prizes and the honor of becoming the “2023 Champion” of the Seattle International Comedy Competition.
Beth Burrows, the owner of the Theatre, is thrilled to bring the event back to the Snoqualmie Valley. “These comedy competitions are so much fun. The comics win by making you laugh. And they are absolutely going for that win. Who knows! We may see the beginnings of a great comedian like Robin Williams or Nate Bergatze.”
The Seattle International Comedy Competition is America’s biggest touring comedy festival. Spanning the entire month of November, the comedians perform their way across Puget Sound, vying for $16,000 in cash prizes.
The winner will be crowned on the final night of the competition, November 26, at Laugh’s Comedy Club in Seattle and will feature the top five comedians vying for the top spot.
Saturday’s event begins at 8 PM. Tickets are going fast! Check availability online at http://northbendtheatre.com.
