The Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank announced today that Executive Director Alison Roberts will step down from her role effective September 5, 2025. Roberts joined the organization in March 2024 and has been instrumental in stabilizing operations and raising community awareness of the food bank’s mission.
During her tenure, volunteer and donor engagement reached record levels, positioning the organization for future success as it moves forward with plans to build a new home in North Bend to better serve the community.
“We are grateful for Alison’s leadership over the past year and a half,” said Board Chair Terry Pottmeyer. “She has greatly improved operations, strengthened connections with partner agencies in the Valley, and inspired staff and volunteers to new levels of service. Her heart for the work and her commitment to creating a community without hunger have driven her success. We wish her every success as she steps away to pursue new opportunities, while spending more time with her young family.”
The board will appoint an Interim Executive Director in the coming weeks as it conducts a search for the organization’s next permanent leader.
Roberts expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to serve the Snoqualmie Valley community:
“My time here has been deeply meaningful, and I’ve been honored to serve and move the organization forward. I’m confident that we have an organization with a strong foundation of community support, and I have no doubt that great things are ahead. We’re fortunate to have a dedicated board of directors in place to continue the momentum of our new building and Capital Campaign, and I can’t wait to see the new building open towards the end of next year.”
