Riverview Park Playground Replacement Project Begins in Mid-February

The City of Snoqualmie will start the construction phase of the Riverview Park Playground Replacement Project in mid-February 2023.

The current playground will close the week of Feb. 13, with the removal of the 25-year-old equipment slated for the week of Feb. 21. The project is expected to wrap up in late spring, or early summer.

Riverview Park is located at 39000 SE Park Street in downtown Snoqualmie. Installation of the new, railroad-themed playground and swing set is anticipated to begin in late February or early March.

The new playground is an inclusive design that also includes installing a “poured-in-place” rubber surface material, doing away with the playground’s old chip base.

The Riverview Park Replacement Project is part of the City’s adopted Capital Improvement Plan. This past summer, following the recommendation of the volunteer Parks and Events Commission, the City Council approved the purchase of the new, more inclusive playground equipment constructed by Allplay Systems, LLC.
