Record-Breaking Heatwave Comes to an End Soon

[Guest Post by North Bend resident Mark Davis]

The end of the heatwave is near, and you can see evidence of that off our coast. The onshore flow will begin overnight tonight into Tuesday morning. So, say goodbye to the triple digits.

The rest of this week, we’ll see highs in the upper 80’s to low 90’s, with lows in the low 60’s. I’ll be happy to take the low 90’s over the triple digits anytime.

The marine layer you see below is what’s going to cool us down. Now, if it could just move a little faster, we would all appreciate it.

Here’s a chart showing our temps gradually cooling down.

Last but not least, the rain. Well, there’s really not much of a chance anytime soon, unfortunately. So even though a blip is showing on the 7th, I really wouldn’t count on.

Our last day of this major record breaking heatwave is almost done. Stay cool out there.
