Heartsaver First Aid / CPR / AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrive. Students learn how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock, and other first aid incidents. In addition, this class teaches adult and child CPR, along with AED use.
The $35 class fee includes a workbook, keychain/face shield, and a CPR card good for two years. Upcoming First Aid/CPR classes will be held on April 21st, June 9th, and October 13th.
The Fire Department also offers CPR classes – these take place March 6th, April 14th, May 8th, September 11th, and November 6th.
