Power Restored to Areas of Snoqualmie after 3-Hour Outage

pseA Puget Sound Energy Representative said a power outage that affected about 675 Snoqualmie customers was expected to last until approximately 5PM, Tuesday, June 18, 2013, but PSE restored power at 3:30PM to the Deer Park neighborhood and by 4:30PM in other neighborhoods. They still have not disclosed the cause of the two-hour outage.

The power went out at around 1:30PM and affected areas like Deer Park, Aster Creek, Eagle Point and stop lights on Snoqualmie Parkway after Douglas Ave approaching I-90. The lights at the SR 18 and I-90 were working, though.

Snoqualmie Police monitored the intersections of Snoqualmie Parkway and Jacobia, as well as the one at SE Swenson Drive. The outage caused slight traffic backups on Snoqualmie Parkway as of 2PM.

PSE crews arrived on scene to begin restoring power at approximately 2:15PM, assessed the problem and had the lights back on by 4:30PM for most neighborhoods.
