Police Officers Host ‘Night out Against Crime,’ Meet Neighbors, Free Dinner and Fun

Looking for something fun to do with the kids on a summer evening? Here’s a chance to get to know local police officers and mingle with Snoqualmie Valley residents and neighbors.

Every year on the same night police departments across the county hold Night out Against Crime events. This year the Snoqualmie Police Department will host its 3rd Annual National Night Out Against Crime on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 from 4PM – 8PM at Si View Park, 400 SE Orchard Drive in North Bend.

Night out Against Crime is an effort to bring communities together for crime prevention awareness and neighborhood camaraderie – a chance to meet neighbors and share information while getting to know the officers that serve the two cities.

All communities in Snoqualmie and North Bend are invited. Police officers will be grilling up [free] hotdogs and hamburgers and serving up chips and beverages. Kids activities include bouncy houses and airbrush tattoos  – along with some prizes.

There will also be exhibits from the Washington State Patrol Bomb Squad and K-9 Units (included a huge tank last year), 911 Dispatch, Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife (which brought a Karelian Bear Dog last year) and the Peacekeeper.
