Police Blotter | Suspicious Person on Porch; Traffic Stop; Dog Park Threats

March 21, 2023

An officer responded to the North Bend Outlet Mall after a store employee reported that a male and female stole nearly $500 worth of shoes. The suspects left the area and were not located. 

March 21, 2023

Officers responded to the North Bend Popeye’s restaurant after a male stole food and threatened employees while pretending to be an Army officer. Upon officer contact, the individual provided a false name. He was taken into custody for Disorderly Conduct. When the subject arrived at the Issaquah Jail, he hit his face on the partition – giving himself a bloody nose. The officers took him up to the hospital for evaluation of the injury.  

While at the hospital, the male attempted to get physical with staff and officers and tried to spit at the officers. Issaquah Police officers arrived to assist and used a mobile fingerprint scanner to determine the subject’s identity. It was determined the man had several outstanding felony warrants from different states. He was taken to King County Jail for a Kansas warrant. Charges were also forwarded for disorderly conduct, false statements to a public servant, 4th-degree assault, and obstruction.

A caller reported that their surveillance camera picked up a male on their Snoqualmie residence’s front porch, knocking on their door and then hiding in the bushes. No suspect was identified.

An officer performed a traffic stop of a vehicle in downtown North Bend. This was the third time officers had stopped the driver in two weeks. The driver was cited for driving without a license and no insurance for a third time.

A Snoqualmie home-based business owner reported that a dissatisfied client refused to leave. Officers responded to find the homeowner across the street while the client was still in the home. No charges were pressed, but the person was trespassed from the address. 

March 23, 2023

Officers responded to Three Forks Dog Park after a caller reported that a person lifted their shirt to show a firearm after a dispute over one dog coming over to the other. The individual who showed the weapon left the area and was not located. 

March 24, 2023

A caller reported that they had gotten into a verbal altercation approximately one hour earlier with a male subject over the male backing out and almost hitting a wagon full of items at a downtown North Bend business. The subject pulled a handgun from a bag but did not point it at the reporting person. The caller described the male involved but did not wish to pursue charges. 

March 25, 2023

Officers responded to the Snoqualmie Safeway after an intoxicated male attempted to buy alcohol at the self-checkout. He became frustrated and began yelling at employees and causing a disturbance. A short time later, in the parking lot, a concerned citizen asked him if he wanted a ride, as he appeared too intoxicated to drive. He then began to assault the citizen. Charges were forwarded to the prosecutor for assault and disorderly conduct. A trespass notice was also issued to the male. 

March 25, 2023

An officer stopped a vehicle near the North Bend Safeway, where it was determined the vehicle had a fraudulent temporary tag. Charges were forwarded to the prosecutor for forgery.
