Police Blotter | Potty Dumpers; Trombone lost on freeway; how about a hot dog and coffee; pasta press theft

Here are a few of the calls the Snoqualmie Police Department responded to in North Bend and Snoqualmie last week.

POTTY DUMPERS | SE MOSES ST, Snoqualmie

On May 26th around 11PM, caller reported seeing eight juveniles inside homes under construction with flashlights. They were possibly in a dark-colored SUV. An officer responded and caught several teens dumping porta-pottys at the construction site. The teens were released. The officer left a message for the driver’s parents. Possible malicious mischief charges may be filed if the company reported any damage to the porta-pottys.

DUI/PHYSICAL CONTROL | NORTH BEND QFC

On May 27th around 3:30PM an employee reported a female driver who appeared to have been drinking stumbling in the parking lot and also wandering into the street, into the store and then back to her car. Eventually she went back into the store and her husband came and got her.

LOST PROPERTY |  PICCOLA CELLARS, North Bend

On May 27th around 11:15PM a caller reported that in the previous hour,  somewhere between Piccola Cellars and I-90 exit 25, their trombone in a black ProTec case fell out of their hatchback vehicle.

THEFT IN-PROGRESS |  NORTH BEND SAFEWAY

On May 28th at 2PM an employee reported that a female stole liquor from the store heading north on Mt. Si Blvd. The employee gave a detailed description of the woman and vehicle and believed the store would also have video surveillence. An officer responded and located the woman and the driver of the vehicle she left in. She was read her miranda rights. The driver was cited and released.

THEFT REPORT |  NORTH BEND OUTLET MALL

On May 28th at 2:45PM an employee reported shoplifting at the Kitchen Collection store. A woman stole a pasta press valued at $180 and left in a gray Buick toward Nintendo.

RECKLESS DRIVING |  SNOQUALMIE YMCA

On May 28th around 9PM a caller reported several vehicles racing up and down the street, including a black jeep with the top down and teens standing up inside of it.  An officer responded and “spoke with group of teenagers about driving around children.”  The officer reported that the group “appeared to understand.”

DISTURBANCE |   SE NORTH BEND WAY

On May 28th at 10PM a Shell Gas Station employee called to report a man getting verbal with customers and talking to himself. The employee said they didn’t mind him being there, but still wanted an officer to come by. An officer responded and purchased the man a hot dog and coffee.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE |  CEDAR AVE, North Bend

On May 30th at 2AM an officer arrested a male for assaulting his wife. He was transported to King County Jail. En route the officer had to make an emergency stop on Mercer Island to deal with the man who was “having a fit in the backseat.” The man was eventually booked into King Co. jail.

UNWANTED SUBJECT | NORTH BEND QFC

On June 1st at 1:30PM a store employee called to report a man near the entrance who was petitioning customers and was asked to leave but refused. An officer responded and per the store’s request,  trespassed a California man who was soliciting signatures. He was trespassed for one year.
