Police Blotter | Barricaded in a Bus; $900 in Stolen Sunglasses; Cybertruck Hit and Run

A male barricaded himself inside his school bus at Truck Town to avoid apprehension for several court order violations, trespassing, and driving offenses. A Sergeant observed the male exit the bus.

When the subject saw the Sergeant, he quickly ran into the store. The Sergeant located the male, who repeatedly refused to cooperate. Units were eventually able to take the male into custody. The male was then booked into Issaquah Jail for multiple charges.

May 8, 2024

Units responded to an Assault in progress at the Pour House bar in North Bend. Upon arrival, they located a victim with severe injuries and learned the assailant had fled the scene.

The assailant allegedly assaulted the victim because he was upset about the victim “taking” his job. The victim was transported to the hospital, where he received treatment for his injuries. The perpetrator was charged with Assault 2 (felony).

May 9, 2024

A caller reported a recklessly driving vehicle that hit a parked vehicle in a Snoqualmie Ridge neighborhood. Officers located the vehicle, which was going 11mph in a 25mph zone. The vehicle was pulled over by officers, who had to strongly request multiple times that the driver roll the window down.

Officers smelled intoxicants. However, the driver refused to do a portable breathalyzer test (PBT), so a blood draw was done. The driver was booked into jail on suspicion of DUI.

May 10, 2024

An officer witnessed a vehicle pull into traffic, almost causing a collision on Railroad Ave. The officer pulled the vehicle over and determined that the driver had a suspended license.

The driver also had a warrant for her arrest. She was detained and later booked into jail for her DUI and ignition interlock warrant.

Officers responded to the North Bend Outlet Mall for a reported theft from the Sunglass Hut. They quickly located the suspect, who reportedly produced the stolen merchandise – approximately $900 in stolen sunglasses. He was released and charged with Theft 3.

A victim reported that their vehicle’s glove box was pried open while they were at Snoqualmie Point Park. No arrests were made. The suspects are unknown.

May 12, 2024

Following an area check, the Washington State Patrol advised officers of a vehicle colliding with a barricade. Officers found extensive damage, debris, and downed signs at the Tokul roundabout on SR 202.

Evidence was left behind from a vehicle indicating it was a Tesla Cybertruck. A citizen called in, reporting that they saw a damaged Cybertruck nearby. Officers contacted a male inside that truck, who was arrested for DUI and hit-and-run.

May 14, 2024

An officer conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle for reportedly traveling 64mph in a 40mph zone near downtown North Bend. The driver was identified. It was determined his driving status was Suspended/Revoked 1st Degree.

He was also required to have an Ignition Interlock device on his vehicle. His driver’s license has been reportedly suspended five times since 2018. The officer issued the driver a criminal citation with a court date and advised him not to operate the vehicle.
