Police Blotter | 100 MPH on Parkway; Illegal E-bike; Cheating Husband Confronted

August 20, 2024

Officers responded to a collision in North Bend involving a driver who took a corner too fast and stuck three other vehicles. No serious injuries were reported.

August 21, 2024

An officer attempted to perform a traffic stop on a motorcycle observed going over 100 MPH on Snoqualmie Parkway. The motorcycle, described as newer and without license plates, with a possible male driver and female passenger, fled eastbound on Railroad Ave. No pursuit was attempted.

August 23, 2024

Officers responded to a theft report at a North Bend Outlet Mall store. The suspect was arrested for stealing a pair of sunglasses. While the subject was being searched, items that had been stolen from the Nike Store, Volcom store, and Mt. Si Chevron were discovered.

The subject was booked into Issaquah Jail on multiple counts of theft and possession of a controlled substance.

August 24, 2024

An officer contacted a female sleeping at the North Bend Depot with several open containers of wine near her. The subject first gave the officer a false name but was subsequently identified. It was determined she had a felony burglary warrant out of the King County Sheriff’s Office. The female was cited for providing false information to officers, drinking in a public park, and trespassing.

She was then taken to King County Jail to be booked on her warrant. She was declined booking after stating that she had been the victim of a sexual assault the previous day in Seattle. She was then taken to Harborview Medical Center, where the Seattle Police Department took a report.

August 25, 2024

An officer responded to a Snoqualmie home for an individual who had been drinking and was feeling upset at the world due to a family medical issue. Upon an officer contacting the person, it was determined the subject was not at risk of self-harm but just needed someone to talk to about their situation.

August 26, 2024

An officer contacted a juvenile in Snoqualmie who was riding an illegal e-bike. The youth was educated on the legality of different e-bikes and provided with literature on the topic.

An officer took an informational report about a wife who showed up at Little League baseball fields in North Bend and confronted her husband about cheating on her with the mother of a son who is on the team he coaches.  It was stated that the couple was currently residing in separate homes.

An officer contacted a subject asleep on the sidewalk between the Snoqualmie Safeway and the police station. The subject advised the officer that he had gotten tired and needed to rest before traveling for the remainder of his trip to Eastern Washington.

An officer contacted juveniles riding e-bikes on the Torguson Park Pump Track. The officer advised the juveniles of the pump track rules and sent them on their way.

August 28, 2024

Officers responded to a commercial building on Snoqualmie Ridge for a report of subjects digging through dumpsters. They contacted a subject in a 20-foot-high dumpster and discovered that he had an SUV full of paddleboard equipment that he had taken from the dumpster. All items were removed and placed back by the dumpster.

The Auburn resident said he was taking the items to give to family members, but due to the volume of items, officers suspected that he would attempt to sell the defective items. The subject was cited and given a court date for Driving with a Suspended License 3.  The business would be contacted about the incident.

September 1, 2024

Officers responded to an assault in North Bend involving two males who “got into it over convoluted matters.” Upon contact with officers, the parties decided neither wanted to be a victim. No injuries were observed or reported.

September 2, 2024

An officer responded to a one-vehicle collision involving a driver who hit a pole in Snoqualmie. The driver may have suffered from narcolepsy. PSE was called to address the power pole damage.
