It was a photography lover’s dream come true – a weekend filled with a gigantic ‘super’ moon; bright clear skies and then clouds rolling out and clear skies to the west that produced a Sunday night sunset that set the sky on fire, painted in every color Mother Nature had to offer – a sunset that may stay engrained for days to come.
Here’s a few pictures that capture and quite adequately sum up what a great, photography weekend it was in the Snoqualmie Valley.
1) Sunset Overlooking Top of Snoqualmie Falls
Photo taken by Jay Rabena, vwho was on his way home from a photo shoot at the Falls, Friday, July 11, 2014, when he noticed the beautiful sunset over the Snoqualmie River as it drops over the Falls (where river looks like an infinity edge in the photo). He stopped on the bridge to capture this shot.
2) Super Moon Rising over Mailbox Peak near Snoqualmie Pass.
A super moon greeted Snoqualmie Valley residents on Saturday night, July 12, 2014. Photo taken by Brandon Fell.
3) Moon Rising behind Mt Si
Photo taken by Manju Shekhar Sunday, July 13, 2014.
4) Sunset on Sunday, July 13, 2014 by Barb McDaniel
Sunday night produced one of the most spectacular sunsets the Puget Sound area has seen. Bright hues of orange, pink and red lit up the Sunday night skies. Barb captured the bright pink skies above the Snoqualmie Valley from the second story window of her Snoqualmie home.
