Are you ready for North Bend’s biggest festival? The countdown is on to the 11th annual Downtown Block Party and 5th annual Legends Car Show.
The Block Party happens from Noon to 11PM on Saturday, July 20thand Legends Car Show happens at 8AM – with awards at 3PM – on Sunday, July 21st.
The Downtown Block Party offers great entertainment, music, activities and tasty local food and drinks for the entire family.
The 2019 Block Party features live entertainment by Sweetkiss Momma, Tayla Lynn, Dylan Jakobsen, The Hipsters, Nick Mardon Trio, Jayleigh Ann & The Lost Boys, Ayron Jones,and Iron Dragon.
The Kid Zone will be hopping with a variety of bouncing, sliding, climbing and playing opportunities for tiny tots to teenagers. And according to organizers, local organizations including Encompass, the Downtown Foundation and the City of North Bend are collaborating to keep much of it free for play from Noon to 5PM.
The Kid Zone will also host animal adoptions this year, along with vendors who specialize in animal education and supplies. So stop by to visit cats at the Seattle Humane Society’s Maxmobile and dogs at Saving Great Animals.
This year’s Block Party will also highlight local merchants, artisans, crafters and other organizations – for the shoppers in your family. There will be a beer and wine garden for those at least 21 years of age outside Iron Duck starting at noon – featuring soon-to-open local brewery, Volition Brewing, and Sigillo Cellars.
Sunday brings the Legends Car Show from 8AM to 3PM along North Bend Way, from Bendigo through Ballarat. The day will include fun and games for all ages, 21 divisions for trophies, raffle and prize drawings.
To accommodate the festivities the following North Bend streets will be closed from approximately 6AM Saturday, July 20th and will remain closed until 5PM, Sunday, July 21st:
