Pedestrian Access Project Advances on North Bend Way

Crews have started work on a new project to enhance pedestrian access along North Bend Way. The project involves building a new sidewalk connecting the Snoqualmie Valley Trail to Tanner Road.

This project aligns with ongoing efforts to improve walkability throughout North Bend, offering residents convenience and increased safety.

The construction focuses on the North Bend Way section between the Snoqualmie Valley Trail crossing and Tanner Road. This project is funded by a Transportation Improvement Board (TIB) grant under the 2024 Sidewalk Gaps, Multiple Locations Project.

While much of the work is concentrated on the shoulder of North Bend Way, occasional single-lane closures may occur, with traffic control measures in place to minimize disruptions.

The City expects to complete the project by early September 2024. For details on all four of the 2024 Sidewalk Gap Removal projects, visit the City of North Bend’s website.

Additionally, crews are wrapping up the final touches on the first of these projects, the Cedar Falls Way sidewalk between Mt. Teneriffe Dr. and Mt. View Blvd. The sidewalk is now open, and residents are encouraged to take a stroll and experience it.
