Open Snoqualmie City Council Position to be Filled by Appointment

The City of Snoqualmie is accepting applications from Snoqualmie residents to fill a vacancy for Position 5 on the Snoqualmie City Council.

This position was previously held by Councilmember Matt Laase, whose last day serving on the City Council in Position 5 was January 31, 2023. 

The term of the position begins once a majority vote of the City Council appoints a candidate. This is an appointed term, which will serve until the General Election in 2023.

The successful candidate of the 2023 General Election will be seated immediately upon certification of the election results.

Residents interested in applying for the Council vacancy must have resided in the City of Snoqualmie for at least one year before Council appointment and be registered to vote in the City of Snoqualmie.  

Deadline and Upcoming Dates

Applications are due on or before 5 p.m. on March 14, 2023. Candidate interviews will take place March 27, 2023, and the City Council vote and Oath of Office will take place on April 10, 2023.
