Carole Fitch died peacefully, at age 85, surrounded by the love of her family, on January 13, 2020.
Carole was born on the Flathead Indian Reservation on November 15, 1934 and was a proud descendant of the Kootenai, Colville, and Blackfeet tribes. Her parents were Lawrence Roberts and Mary Parent. She grew up in Oregon where she attended St. Mary of the Valley Academy in Beaverton.
Aside from owning a successful business, Denley Rendering Company, Carole is better known for her work behind three feet of mahogany. With more than 50 years of experience in the fine art of bartending, nobody made a better Bloody Mary. She was a longtime bartender at the Eagles and also worked at the Homestead, the 2×4, the Colonial Inn, and Smokey Joes over the years.
Carole was also a long time member of the Snoqualmie Valley Eagles. She was even a two time Madame President of the Women’s Auxiliary. It was a very special place for her. She helped make a difference in the community, and forged many important and lasting friendships.
Carole was a dedicated mother and grandmother, first and foremost. She treasured her time spent with family, and especially enjoyed her role as “GG.” She was a dynamic woman, with a vibrant and bold personality. Often the life of the party, Carole was known for her cheeky sense of humor, and unmistakable laughter. She had the ability to make lasting impressions. If you were lucky enough to grab a barstool next to her, she’d show you her grandchildren, tell you a long story (or twelve), catch up on the latest gossip, and give you her forthright opinion about it.
Carole was preceded in death, by her son Melvin Sinclair and grandson Jeff Sinclair. She is survived by her daughter Lynn Becker, grandchildren; Patrick Roberts (Amy), Lacy Becker, Shana Callaway (Tyler), Rebecca Burrell (Gordon), Eric Fitch, James Fitch, and Jennifer Dawson. She is also survived by her great grandchildren; Gavin, Knoxlee, Viviana, Tessa, Vanessa, Gabby, Gordy, and Charlie.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation, in Carole’s name, to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital.
Visitation will be held at Chapel of the Resurrection Mausoleum & Funeral Home on January 27, 2020 4-8pm, 16300 112th Ave NE, Bothell, WA 98011
A very large celebration of life party, where she said there was to be no tears and would like everyone to get “drunk as a pig,” will be held at the Snoqualmie Valley Eagles on February 15, 2020 at 6:00pm
