The Northwest Railway Museum honors local military service men and women along with their families this Memorial Day with a special weekday train run on Monday, May 28th. This is in addition to the railroad’s usual weekend train schedule. To commemorate Memorial Day, the museum will offer $5 round trip train fares the full three-day holiday weekend to anyone with a valid, current military ID card.
The Railway Museum offers scenic train rides aboard the antique train though the upper Snoqualmie Valley, including a stop at the top of Snoqualmie Falls, one of Washington’s most visited tourist attractions.
Trains depart the Snoqualmie Depot, 38625 SE King Street, every 90 minutes beginning at 11:01AM. They also depart the North Bend Depot, 205 McClellan Street, every 90 minutes beginning at 11:31AM. Regular round trip fares are $10 for kids 2-12, $15 for adults and $12 for 62 and up. For more information call the Northwest Railway Museum at 425-888-3030 or visit www.trainmuseum.org.
Railway Museum visitors experience the excitement of a working railroad while learning about the important role railroads played in shaping the character of the Pacific Northwest. The Snoqualmie Depot, exhibits and Depot Bookstore are open to the public 10AM – 5PM daily.
