North Bend Welcomes Councilmembers and Mayor Pro Tem as Snoqualmie Prepares to Welcome Mayor

The start of the new year brought leadership updates in both North Bend and Snoqualmie, with new and returning councilmembers taking office in North Bend and a mayoral welcome ahead in Snoqualmie.

Returning council members Mark Joselyn, Position No. 6, and Errol Tremolada, Position No. 4, took their oaths of office at the December 2, 2025, City Council meeting. Joselyn began serving in 2022 and served as Mayor Pro Tem in 2025. Tremolada began serving in 2023.

Newly elected Councilmember Rob McFarland took his oath of office on December 29, 2025. McFarland previously served as North Bend’s mayor from 2020 to 2024. His term as councilmember for Position No. 2 began January 1, 2026.

“As elected officials, community is at the core of every decision we make. It requires a whole lot of time, collaboration, and passion for public service,” Mayor Miller said. “On behalf of myself and city staff, we look forward to these new and continued partnerships in 2026.”

Tremolada was selected by fellow councilmembers to serve as the 2026 Mayor Pro Tem. In that role, he will coordinate with the administration, help set agendas for monthly Work-study sessions, support council committees, and serve in the mayor’s absence.

“Thank you to my colleagues for your trust,” he said during the December 2 City Council meeting. “I have a very good working relationship with all of you, and I look forward to taking on this role.”

The City Council, Mayor Miller, and city staff held the first City Council meeting of the year on Tuesday, January 6. A recording of that meeting is available on the city’s YouTube page or at www.northbendwa.gov/civicmedia.
