North Bend Traffic Alert: Park Street Turn Lanes Project Scheduled to Begin October 3rd

On Monday, October 3rd, Reed Trucking and Excavating will begin work on the Park Street Turn Lanes Project. Work includes installation of new vertical curb and gutter, sidewalk, raising and replacing sewer frames and grates, traffic loops, striping, and traffic control.

A temporary road closure will occur on Park Street between Bendigo Boulevard and Main Street from Wednesday, October 5th through Friday, October 7th, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

When complete, the project will provide an additional travel lane at the Park Street westbound approach to the Bendigo Boulevard intersection. Following construction, drivers can expect:

  • A decrease in occasional queuing length for turning left from Park Street onto Bendigo Boulevard.
  • A decrease in the likelihood of having to wait at Bendigo Boulevard to turn left, eastbound onto Park Street.
  • An overall improved level of service at the nearby North Bend Way/Bendigo Boulevard intersection.

Work is expected to be complete by Friday, October 14th. The City of North Bend’s Street Capital Funds funded the Park Street Turn Lanes project. Learn more about this and other capital projects via the 2023 – 2028 Six-Year Transportation Improvement Plan.
