Construction crews from Fury SiteWorks will begin work Monday, July 7, on a project designed to enhance pedestrian access and safety along SE 140th Street in North Bend.
This work is one of four Sidewalk Gap Removal projects slated for completion this summer, where missing sidewalk segments are constructed or repaired, depending on the need. The result of this project will be a new sidewalk with a curb and gutter between Eagles Nest Place and 457th Avenue SE on SE 140th Street.
Continuing connectivity from this location, a new asphalt trail will be installed from 457th Avenue SE to about 500 feet east of 463rd Avenue SE.
Residents should expect temporary lane closures on SE 140th Street throughout the summer as the project progresses. The city anticipates the new sidewalk and asphalt trail will be ready for use by early October.
