North Bend Seeks Community Input for ADA Transition Plan

The City of North Bend is committed to creating a highly livable and walkable community for all its residents.

To further this goal, the city is developing an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan to ensure equal access to sidewalks, curb ramps, crosswalks, and other pedestrian facilities within the public right-of-way.

As part of this initiative, the city is seeking input from residents to identify specific barriers to accessibility. The ADA Transition Plan Online Open House is now available, allowing residents to learn more about the project and participate in a brief survey. This survey is crucial for reporting right-of-way barriers encountered within the community.

The insights gathered from the community will be integral to shaping the ADA Transition Plan, ensuring that future projects meet the needs and objectives of North Bend residents.

Once completed, the plan will identify physical barriers to accessibility, propose methods to make facilities accessible and establish a schedule for achieving full ADA compliance based on a prioritization analysis.

Residents are encouraged to contribute feedback to help North Bend create an inclusive and accessible environment for everyone.
