North Bend Seeks Community Feedback to Shape Future of Biking Access and Safety

On May 28, North Bend Parks Commissioners kicked off their monthly meeting early, teaming up with members of the Economic Development Commission for a close-to-home tour on two wheels.

The group cycled around town, discussing potential improvements that could make biking in North Bend safer, more accessible, and more enjoyable for all users. A wide range of ideas were shared during the ride.

Now, the City is inviting residents to share their thoughts. Bike North Bend is a planning effort aimed at assessing the current cycling environment and recommending future infrastructure, programs, and policy changes to improve rider safety and confidence. Community input will help identify which improvements or programs would have the most impact, as well as highlight concerns with current infrastructure and policies.

To participate in the survey or learn more about the project:

The survey is open through August 13, 2025. Questions? Contact Associate Planner Caitlin Hepworth, AICP, at (425) 888-7665 or by email.

Your input will help shape the future of cycling in North Bend by guiding decisions on infrastructure, safety enhancements, and community programs. Whether you’re an avid cyclist, a casual rider, or simply interested in improving mobility options, the City encourages you to take a few minutes to complete the survey and be part of the planning process.
