If you want a chance to have a say on North Bend’s physical development, here’s your opportunity.
The City of North Bend is seeking applicants for multiple vacancies on the Planning Commission, terms expiring May 18, 2024, or May 18, 2026.
The Commission is an advisory body to the City Council that prepares and recommends coordinated plans, regulations, and restrictions for the City’s physical development. The Commission typically meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 7 p.m.
NBMC Chapter 2.28 states, “Four of the Commissioners shall reside inside the city limits while three may reside inside the 98045 zip code”. The open positions may be filled by citizens who reside either within the city limits or within the 98045 zip code.
Anyone interested in serving the community on this vital Commission is urged to apply by email to the City Clerk at soppedal@northbendwa.gov or by mail to the City of North Bend, Attn: City Clerk, 920 SE Cedar Falls Way, North Bend, WA 98045.
The deadline for submission is Friday, April 8, 2022.
