North Bend has enhanced pedestrian safety by completing three new Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) crosswalks.
These highly visible crosswalks are designed to give drivers more time to see, slow down, and stop for pedestrians.
The newly installed crosswalks can be found at:
- Ballarat Avenue N and the Snoqualmie Valley Trail
- Mt. Si Road and the Snoqualmie Valley Trail
- E North Bend Way and SE Orchard Drive
In addition to serving nearby residents, these crosswalks improve pedestrian and cyclist safety on the Snoqualmie Valley Trail and enhance connectivity between Si View Park and downtown North Bend.
Whether walking your dog along local streets, cycling on the trail, or driving through town, remember to stay alert. Put your phone away, follow local speed limits, and always watch for pedestrians.
