Shorelines along the Middle and South Forks of the Snoqualmie River are vital to the North Bend community.
The City of North Bend and its project partners will host an Open House on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, to discuss the development of the North Bend Shoreline Public Access and Trail Plan.
The Open House will occur at North Bend City Hall, beginning at 5:30 p.m. It will allow the public to learn more about the plan, which aims to establish a cohesive network of shoreline access points and trails, enhancing recreation for residents and visitors.
In addition to attending the Open House, community members are encouraged to complete a brief survey to share feedback on shoreline access and usage within the City of North Bend. Public input will play a key role in shaping the final plan.
This project is supported by a grant from the Department of Ecology’s Shoreline Public Access and Trail Plan Project. The grant focuses on advancing climate resilience, improving implementation of the Shoreline Master Program (SMP), and supporting local shoreline planning priorities.
For further information, visit the City’s SMP webpage. Once completed, the plan will improve communication on shoreline jurisdiction regulated under the North Bend Municipal Code (NBMC 14.20).
