North Bend Fire Training Academy Incident Sends Fuel, not Water, onto Simulated Plane Crash Fire

At the Washington State Fire Training Academy  in North Bend there was a training mishap during an October 25th Port of Seattle fire training exercise involving a simulated a plane crash.

King 5 News reported about the October training incident during their December 13, 2013 newscast.

During the deliberately set fire training, fuel was inadvertently put on the fire instead of water, causing the fire to erupt further rather than make it smaller.

According to King 5 News, the State Patrol hired an investigator is to determine if the incident was caused by a faulty oil – water separator, academy trainees or possible a both.
