On Monday, June 29th, the Northwest Railway Museum announced that the 2020 Snoqualmie Railroad Days was cancelled.
Organizers said Railroad Days has been a part of the Snoqualmie community since 1939, and it will continue as a gathering celebration for the city and its visitors in the future, but due to COVID-19 restrictions they made the difficult decision to cancel the event planned for August 15th – 16th.
Per the announcement:
“After numerous conversations with festival stakeholders, including committee members and local community leaders, the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 festival was made. Although the festival is cancelled, be sure to watch for updates about special virtual
events to keep the celebration alive in 2020 at: www.railroaddays.com and on the Snoqualmie Railroad Days Facebook page.”
In mid-May organizers of North Bend’s Festival at Mt. Si also made the tough decision to forego the 2020 event planned for August 8th – 9th due to the “economic and social impacts of COVID-19.”
Festival at Mt Si virtual events are also being planned. You can find updates on those at www.festivalatmtsi.org
The annual North Bend Downtown Block Party scheduled for July 18th was also recently cancelled due to COVID-19.
