North Bend Downtown Block Party 2024: A Celebration of Community Spirit and Local Pride

The North Bend Downtown Block Party 2024 was a resounding success this past Saturday, drawing residents and visitors to the heart of North Bend for a day filled with music, food, and community spirit.

This beloved free summer event showcased the best of North Bend, featuring a vibrant music festival organized by Morgan Henley Presents, a beer and wine garden courtesy of Volition Brewing and Pearl and Stone Wine Co., an Encompass NW Kid Zone, diverse food vendors, and most importantly, a strong sense of community.

The event, organized by the North Bend Downtown Foundation (NBDF), brought together popular local and regional musicians and performance groups on a grand stage. Attendees enjoyed performances by various bands and local talents, including Ignite Dance, Z-Ultimate Defense, and Cascade Dance.

Jessica Self, the Executive Director of NBDF, expressed her gratitude, saying, “What an incredible 2024 Downtown Block Party! We couldn’t have done it without our amazing community. A HUGE shoutout to all our sponsors, volunteers, vendors, downtown merchants, performers, emcees, and every single attendee – you all made this event unforgettable!”

The Block Party wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support of the Big Si Sponsors: Jeff Warren-State Farm, Snoqualmie Valley Real Estate, Washington Generators, and Reflection of Perfection. Their contributions, along with those of the community, have kept this cherished tradition alive and thriving.

Mayor Miller reflected on the event’s growth and significance, noting, “North Bend’s Block Party began more than a decade ago as a small festival with a few local vendors and activities. It has grown into a well-known, beloved tradition. Thanks to the support of our community, the Downtown Foundation can keep this festival fully free for everyone to enjoy.”

The Block Party is a testament to North Bend’s civic pride, showcasing the town’s support for local businesses and organizations. Walking down North Bend Way on any Saturday morning reveals the vibrant community spirit, with smiling faces, bustling families, happy dogs, and even the occasional sociable goat.

The North Bend Downtown Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting local businesses and downtown revitalization, coordinated the event. The foundation’s efforts in organizing the Block Party not only foster community pride and engagement but also provide an economic boost to downtown businesses.
