No Boat Brewing hosts special Fundraiser for Snoqualmie Valley Firefighters, February 29th

On Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 4-8PM, No Boat Brewing in Snoqualmie is holding a special event to help Snoqualmie Firefighters raise money as they ‘gear up’ to participate in the March 8th Firefighter StairClimb at Seattle’s Columbia Tower, which benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

No Boat will be donating $1 per beer and cider sold during the February 29th event. Customers can also contribute by simply dropping donations into firefighters’ boots.

In addition to passing around the boots, Snoqualmie Fire Fighters will also be manning the taps, pouring and serving beer during the fundraiser.

Organizers say the event is a great way for community members to meet some of their local firefighters and thank them for their service while also supporting a wonderful cause.

The LLS Firefighter StairClimb is the world’s largest on-air stair climb competition. The sell-out event features over 2,000 members of the fire service who must register, commit, and fundraise for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society before ascending the tallest building in Seattle on event day. Firefighters climb the 69 floors, or 1,356 steps, in full gear to reach the Sky View Observatory.

This year Mike Ferreri (KOMO News Sportscaster and a Snoqualmie Ridge resident) will be climbing with ‘Team Snoqualmie’. In preparation for the intensive climb, the team has been working out at Decater Performance in Preston – in full gear – with other gym members.

In addition to the No Boat event, SFD Chief Correira says you may see firefighters at the Starbucks [near MOD Pizza] raising funds this weekend.

The LLS Firefighter StairClimb raises money through individual and team fundraising, sponsorship, and entry fees. In 2019, the Firefighter StairClimb raised over $2.9 million dollars and sold out in 14 minutes. 2020 registration is also sold out.

Good Luck Team Snoqualmie!
