New Twin Peaks premiere draws closer, Snoqualmie prepares with Big event at Old Mill Site

Tick-tock.  The countdown is on to Showtime’s premier of the new Twin Peak series on Sunday, May 21, 2017.

It seems like just yesterday Twin Peaks cast and crew were here in the Snoqualmie Valley, creating a buzz as they painted Twede’s sky blue to bring it back as the Double R Diner and fans from near and far hovered, trying and catch of a glimpse David Lynch shooting scenes.

Twede’s painted for Twin Peaks filming in September 2015.

Flash forward a year and a half. Now it’s countdown time as we wait to see how Twin Peaks – 25 years from where it last left off –  will play out. Will the town change or be locked in time?

To celebrate the new series launch, the City of Snoqualmie is hosting a Twin Peaks Scavenger Hunt event on May 13th.

Scavenger hunters will participate by using iPhone and an Android driven app called Goose Chase that will have them touring famous Snoqualmie Valley Twin Peaks film locations while completing tasks.

The hunt will end at the historic Mill Site (AKA Packard Sawmill), which is now the home of DirtFish Rally School and whose office was also featured as the Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Office.

At the mill site participants will search for prizes and take pictures with Twin Peaks cast and crew. It’s not known yet which cast members will attend. The city has confirmed that the Twin Peaks production scout and some crew will attend. Cast availability will likely influence who attends the event and the city will announce cast names them as soon as they are confirmed.

To complete the night, there will be a screening of Fire Walk with Me on a 50-foot screen inside the Mill Site warehouse. Food trucks and concessions will be available. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for the movie screening.
