For the second straight day the Snoqualmie Valley YMCA was transformed into ‘Lemoncurd Community Center’ as filming of a new TV comedy series called Three Busy Debras continued.
Windows were covered for night filming, a Lemondcurd Community center was installed on Ridge Street and TV production trailers occupied the Snoqualmie Community Park parking lots.
YMCA Director Nate Smith said filming began around 5AM, Tuesday, September 3rd and will continued into Wednesday night, September 4th.
The show is using outside portions of the property and the gymnasium to shoot episode scenes. Smith said according to a show location scout, they were looking for a place to shoot that had a sorta of ‘Stepford Wives’ feel.
The City of Snoqualmie confirmed a film permit was issued for an episode of Three Busy Debras, which is produced by Amy Poehler.
According to Wikipedia, Three Busy Debras follows “the surreal day-to-day lives of three deranged housewives, all named Debra, in their affluent suburban town of Lemoncurd, Connecticut.” It will premiere on Cartoon Network’s nighttime programming block, Adult Swim and stars Sandy Honig, Mitra Jouhari and Alyssa Stonoha.
The City of Snoqualmie said filming will take place in a couple of city locations, including on September 3rd and 4th at the YMCA. Notification was sent to the school district, which also sent notification out to the Cascade View Elementary families.
The remainder of filming – through September 15th – will take place in the Eagles Nest neighborhood of Snoqualmie Ridge on private streets and at The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge.
