After 18-months with an interim police chief, the City of Snoqualmie officially has a new chief leading its police department.
Scott Miller was sworn in as Snoqualmie Police Chief by Mayor Mayhew during the August 10 City Council meeting. In May, Miller was selected from three finalists after an extensive search and review process, as well as a community meet-and-greet.
Miller brings more than 25 years of law enforcement experience to Snoqualmie. He most recently served as chief of the Siloam Springs Police Department in Arkansas, where he led a 72-person department. During his career, he served in patrol, criminal investigations, narcotics, SWAT, and crime suppression roles.
“My wife Christy and I are grateful for the outstanding and warm welcome we’ve received from our new neighbors and from the City,” said Chief Miller. “We’re looking forward to serving, connecting, and contributing to this incredible place we now call home. Through collaboration, we will build a safer, stronger community where everyone doesn’t just live, but thrives.”
After serving as interim chief since February 2025, Gary Horejsi will return to his role as captain of the Snoqualmie Police Department
