Owner Sang Kim was hoping to have her new Snoqualmie bakery, cafe minee, open in February, but some contractor delays kept those storefront windows covered in paper for a few extra weeks.
There was some good ‘sweet tooth’ news announced this week, though. Starting April 1st you’ll be able to grab sandwiches, soups, cookies, macaroons, breads, muffins, scones, cakes, coffee, espresso tea and smoothies – or enjoy them inside the Railroad Ave bakery.
The new bakery’s name, café minee, is personal – a childhood nickname for both Sang and her son. The items baked goods within cafe minee are also personal. Sang Kim started baking for her son and friends. Hence, she said she uses quality ingredients, natural flavors and purified water.
As so often happens with small businesses, as Sang’s passion for baking grew, it pushed the spare time hobby out the door and into a new storefront that, as the website states, means everything to her.
My in-home teenage taste-tester (AKA my 17-year old son) recently got a chance to sample some café minee items. They were all met with a seal of approval. In fact, he said the banana bread was “the best” he’s ever had.
café minee is located right next to Gianfranco’s at 8150 Railroad Ave. For more information, including menu and prices, visit the café minee website.
Good Luck, Sang!

Good to hear that. Back in the era of the 40’s and 50’s there was also a bakery in almost that same spot, so history repeats itself!
Yahoo! a bakery. Cookies, macroons, bread! Sorely needed and will be much appreciated! Thank you Sang Kim
