Mt. Si Senior Center honors veterans with special Veterans Day luncheon

Mt. Si Senior Center announced it will pay tribute to local veterans with a special Veterans Day lunch, 11:45AM to 12:45PM Monday, November 12th, at the senior center, 411 Main Ave. S. North Bend.

Join the center for a cookout-style lunch of hamburgers and hot dogs, and hear from guest speakers as they honor the men and women who served in uniform.

USAF Colonel, Retired Becky Steidle will give a welcome address, followed by Boy Scout Troop 466 presenting the flag. Pastor Lee Carney Hartman of Snoqualmie United Methodist Church will give the invocation, and North Bend Mayor Ken Hearing will speak on “Honoring our Veterans.”

Lunch is free for veterans and their wives, $4 for diners age 60 and older, and $7 for other guests.

The Mt. Si Senior Center, founded in 1977, is an independent non-profit senior center, serving adults, age 50 and older in North Bend, Snoqualmie, Fall City, and the surrounding areas. The center’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for older adults in the Snoqualmie Valley by providing services and support in the areas of health and wellness, information and assistance, social and recreational opportunities, housing and transportation, so we can all live in a world in which all seniors are supported and treated with respect.
