Want to watch the #2 3A state ranked Mount Si football team play the #5 nationally ranked (and #1 state ranked) Bellevue High School Wolverines?
Then school officials are high recommending you make your way to the Mount Si gym foyer tonight, October 10th, between 5:30-7:30PM and buy tickets during the game’s advance sale event. Advance ticket sales are limited to 10 tickets per purchaser.
Hoping to see the game on TV? Well, that won’t be happening. Comcast has been televising local high school football games this season, but Mount Si’s conference, KingCo, charges a $2,000 fee for the right to air their conference games.
The Mount Si/ Bellevue game is, though, nominated for three local TV stations’ “Game of the Week.” Kiro TV, Q13 and King 5 may end up at Wildcat Stadium filming highlights of the big match up for their evening newscasts. You can vote for the Mount Si games here: King 5, Q13, Kiro TV.
Gates for Friday’s (October 12th) game open at 5:30PM. Kick off is at 7PM. More bleachers are being moved in again for extra seating. A new “visiting area” behind the concessions stand has been designated as a spot for younger (middle school) students more interested in chatting than watching football to avoid blocking views of those trying to watch the game in the stands. Some younger students tend to stand in bleacher aisles while visiting.
Good Luck to the Mount Si Football team! As MSHS football dad, Jose Cotto put it, “It’s the biggest game in school history!”
