The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has been reducing lanes on sections of westbound I-90 between Preston and Issaquah for about a year now, but this should be the last multi-day reduction.
They need three days to replace a bridge section where the deck meets the road.
The work will reduce westbound I-90 to one lane for 72 hours straight, leaving one left lane open from 9 p.m. Monday, July 24, to 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 26.
When that is finished, the contractor crews will flip traffic over to the right lane to repair the left side of the freeway. That will take until 9 p.m. Thursday, July 27.
While some overnight work remains, this project will finish later this summer.
