MOOO! Ice Cream Brings Sweet Treats and Community Spirit to Fall City

If you’ve driven through Fall City recently, you may have spotted a black-and-white cottage standing out among the trees, perched above the Snoqualmie River.

That whimsical little building, painted like a cow, is the new home of MOOO! Ice Cream, a family-run shop, is opening on April 5th. For owners Larry and Sharon Brown, longtime Snoqualmie Valley residents, MOOO! is about more than just serving up scoops—it’s about giving back to a community that has given them so much.

Scooper in chief Larry Brown

Larry, a practicing attorney in Fall City for many years, and Sharon, proud grandparents to fourteen grandkids, saw an opportunity to create something special. “The Snoqualmie Valley has been so good to my wife, Sharon, and me. This is our chance to give back to our community,” Larry says. That community-driven spirit is at the heart of MOOO! which aims to be a destination for locals, families, and visitors alike.

A Scoop of Quality and Creativity

MOOO! Ice Cream has partnered with Olympic Mountain Ice Cream, a well-known premium brand typically found in Northwest restaurants. “We chose to work with Olympic Mountain premium ice cream because we love their quality – they make really good ice cream, that most people only get to experience in Northwest restaurants. And they will do custom flavors to our specifications,” Larry explains.

The shop will offer 16 flavors at a time, rotating a few seasonally based on customer input. While Larry prefers classic vanilla, Sharon had a hand in creating MOOO!’s first exclusive flavor: Toasted Coconut with Almonds and Pecans, playfully named Nutty Sharon.

The Browns wanted MOOO! to be as much about the experience as the ice cream. “MOOO! itself is an experience. We worked with a clever designer, and it’s an art project inside and out. The colors and design exude joy, so visiting the shop will be part of the fun,” Larry says.

The shop’s interior is a vibrant, pink Wes Anderson-inspired dream, making it the perfect spot for a fun outing, a date night, or even an Instagram-worthy visit. Patrons can enjoy their treats indoors, sit outside, or take a leisurely stroll along the river with their cones in hand.

A Family Affair with a Community Focus

MOOO! Ice Cream isn’t just a business; it’s a family endeavor. Larry and Sharon’s son, Brian Neuenschwander of Neuleaf Remodel, led the construction, while their nephew, Eric Peterson, will serve as general manager. Four of their grandkids will be behind the counter, serving up scoops. The entire family played a role in shaping the shop, especially when it came to flavors.

Beyond the family, MOOO! is committed to being part of the larger Snoqualmie Valley community. With so many grandchildren involved in sports, it was a natural fit for the shop to support local teams. “We are sponsoring my grandson’s little league – who wouldn’t love that opportunity?” Larry says. The shop is also positioned to become a go-to spot for the area’s many hikers, cyclists, and river floaters looking to cool off after a day of outdoor adventure.

A Sweet Addition to Fall City

Larry and Sharon see MOOO! as more than just an ice cream shop—they want it to be a gathering place. “MOOO! is designed to bring people together and serve as a go-to stop for sports enthusiasts and day-trippers,” Larry explains. “The beauty of Fall City, combined with the unique atmosphere of MOOO!, makes it a must-visit spot.”

For the Browns, this venture is about more than just business—it’s about creating memories, sharing joy, and contributing to the town they love. “To be able to share this opportunity with my community, work, wife, and family has given me is a blessing,” Larry says.

So, whether you’re a local looking for your new favorite hangout or a visitor seeking a sweet treat after a day exploring the Snoqualmie Valley, MOOO! Ice Cream is ready to welcome you—one scoop at a time.
